Shop PR

In 1998, I started a boutique agency, called Shop PR. It was just myself and one assistant in a small office within my father's Manhattan law firm. During my years at Estee Lauder, I had often heard editors complain about agency publicists being too aggressive with their pitching. I thought, maybe, I could take my "in-house" Lauder pedigree and editorial relationships into the agency world and do things differently. I wanted Shop to be more about relationship building and less hard-sell.

It worked. We quickly won Prescriptives as a client (it was the first time Estee Lauder had ever retained out-of-house PR), and we were on our way. Ultimately, Shop grew to 12 employees and 23+ clients with offices in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. In 2000, I sold the business to a larger PR firm called Lippe Taylor and stayed on for another 2 years to run it for them as President before leaving to pursue other endeavors.

This page provides a view of Shop PR's brand identity materials as well as materials we developed for some of our clients.
